Further guidance

More about who and what we fund

  • We will support campaigning organisations, those who act on behalf of communities without a voice or who support people to access the services they need, but which are not actively promoting the interests of any particular political party.

  • We have a preference for working with local community organisations with an income of up to £400,000 per year and reserves of between three to six months of annual running costs.

  • We are also interested in projects which disseminate their results, successes, and challenges to help inform other organisations and improve the work of the sector.

  • Your application should demonstrate your understanding beneficiaries, and your reputation within your local community.

  • We have a particular interest in organisations looking for seed funding for new ideas and to help scale up successful pilot projects.

  • We will consider applications from previous grant holders or applicants but advise you to call first to discuss the timing and project/need.

What we don’t fund:

  • Capital works/improvement processes.

  • Projects which cannot demonstrate their main beneficiaries will be young people within the age range of 11 to 18 years.

  • Organisations with a turnover of over £1m.

  • For profit organisations.

  • Projects or organisations without a focus on our geographical area of benefit (Greater London).

  • Schools or Colleges.

  • Faith groups that cannot demonstrate they are inclusive of all faiths and non-secular people within their beneficiaries and workforce (including volunteers).
